Brand and product details
The Jellystone Designs Narwhal Shape Sorter is a shape sorter in the form of a soft silicone narwhal, with a set of pastel shape pieces that children pop through the matching holes on top. It covers the standard shape-sorter ground, early problem solving, spatial awareness, hand-eye coordination and the fine motor work of pinching and posting, but the material is what makes it different from a wooden or hard plastic sorter. Silicone is soft to hold, gentle on hands, easy to grip, and safe for babies and toddlers who are still exploring everything by mouth, which means it can be given earlier and left with a child unsupervised in a way a rigid sorter with small hard pieces cannot. It is made from food-grade silicone, free from BPA and harmful chemicals. The set comprises the narwhal body and its pastel shape pieces.
