Brand and product details
TopBright's Crystal Dinosaur Growing Kit: Spinosaurus is a chemistry experiment with something to keep at the end of it. Crystal powder is dissolved in hot water until the water is saturated; as it cools, the powder precipitates along the direction of the gypsum and grows into crystals, the phenomenon called crystallisation. Children choose the colours and arrange what they have grown into a dinosaur crystal garden on the pedestal. The box holds a measuring cup, a dinosaur egg, 2 seed crystals, 3 crystal powders, a stir bar, a Spinosaurus figure, a pedestal and a manual. TopBright lists it for 8 years and up, and the item measures 14.6 x 15.3 x 14.6 cm. An adult should handle the hot water. The deluxe kit in the same range comes with three eggs and three dinosaurs; this one grows a single Spinosaurus, which makes it the simpler choice for one child working alone.
